Birthday Parties at K&S Farms

K&S Farms is located on 78 acres in northern Hamilton County. We are only 10 miles north of Westfield and 7 miles south of Tipton just west of US Highway 31. The property includes a 50 acre tree nursery where over 10,000 shade, ornamental and evergreen trees are grown for use on residential and commercial landscapes.

K&S Farms is now offering Birthday Parties on our farm for school age children and older. Our parties encourage children to enjoy nature and learn while having great outdoor fun. The idea to bring children and their families to our farm was inspired by the National Bestseller LAST CHILD IN THE WOODS, Saving Our Children From Nature Deficit Disorder, written by Richard Louv. Mr. Louv is the recipient of the 2008 Audubon Medal and is the co-founder of the Children & Nature Network.

We will supply parents with activities from PROJECT LEARNING TREE'S "Connecting Kids to Nature" Program. The activities will vary depending on the season. Children will complete fun activities while on our farm and will take with them ideas for families to complete together at home in their own neighborhoods.

K&S Farms is a working tree farm and nursery.* Children will learn the benefits of trees and how important they are to our environment. They will be able to walk through the nursery and explore many different types of trees at various stages of growth, from newly planted to harvest.

Enjoy lunch and games at our beautiful picnic area overlooking the pond and horse pasture. There is an outdoor fireplace for our evening parties.

Package Options Are:
• PRICING IS BASED ON GROUPS OF 25 PEOPLE OR LESS, INCLUDING CHILDREN AND ADULTS.
• PARTY TIMES ARE SATURDAYS 10 AM - NOON and 1 - 3 PM: SUNDAYS 1 - 3 PM. HOWEVER, WE ARE FLEXIBLE.
• EVENING PARTIES ARE 6-8:30 PM THURSDAYS (SUMMER) AND FRIDAYS ONLY.

#3 Evening Package $425
Thursday (summer months only), and Friday nights only -- 6-8:30 pm
Includes everything in Packages 1 & 2, PLUS :
• Use of the outdoor fireplace
• Roast hot dogs and s'mores
• We provide everything you'll need!

OTHER OPTIONS AVAILABLE WITH ANY PACKAGE:
HAYRIDE through the farm and nursery $60

PARTIES AVAILABLE DURING THE MONTHS OF APRIL - OCTOBER ONLY.

RESERVATION AND $50 DEPOSIT ARE REQUIRED. DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE ONLY IF CANCELLED 30 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT. WE WILL REQUIRE 1 ADULT PER 10 CHILDREN. 2 ADULTS ARE FREE OF CHARGE AND NOT INCLUDED WHEN DETERIMINING GROUP SIZE. IN THE EVENT OF STORMS, PARTIES, ACTIVITIES AND GAMES WILL BE HELD IN OUR INDOOR BUILDING.

*K&S Farms will require the responsible individual to sign Hold Harmless agreement excluding all entities and Ken and/or Shirley Schmutte and any employees from liability.
